Frédéric’s practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, construction and product liability law as well as class actions. He has also developed an expertise in Ontario and U.S. law and in cases involving complex legal issues and technical evidence.

In addition to his experience in cases involving multi-jurisdictional issues, Frédéric also participated in telecommunications, environment and natural resources litigation as well as cases against government bodies.
Frédéric represents national and international clients in various industries, including insurance, construction and the automotive sector.

Frédéric holds a master’s degree in business law, a postgraduate diploma in health law and a Juris Doctor (J.D.). He has acquired, through his graduate studies, excellent analytical and research skills, allowing him to develop convincing arguments and efficient strategies.

Representative Work

Represented car manufacturers and dealerships in class action and product liability cases.
Advised car manufacturers on alternative dispute resolution.
Acted for owners and contractors in arbitration regarding large-scale residential, industrial, or PPP infrastructure projects.
Represented an international mining corporation in an approximately $20M nuisance appeal initiated by neighbours of one of their mines for the traffic noise related to the trucks going to and coming from that mine and obtained the denial of a significant portion of the claim.
Represented the owner and contractor in a multimillion-dollar suit related to a construction project of approximately 400 apartments and the discovery of contaminated soil on the construction site.
Acted for a national telecommunication company and obtained the dismissal of a claim initiated by one of its clients, alleging various breaches of contract and confidentiality.
Represented an international recycling company and successfully argued technical argument at a trail about dust emissions.
Represented and advised an oil company in settlement negotiations regarding an accidental spill.
Advised various major companies on ESG disclosures, including class actions and enforcement by governments.
